Learning by experience

Everyone thinks it is important to come into contact with a foreign culture, but many people don’t try to visit foreign countries. I had decided to go to a foreign country one of these days.
Actually I visited Korea this spring vacation with my friends. I recognized the importance of coming into contact with a foreign culture but it was only a three-days trip.

This was my first visit to a foreign country. I experienced a casino and was excited. I ate kalbi in restaurant. Also I went to Namdaemun market and enjoyed a lot of Korean foods, such as chizimi, toppogi and kimchi. They were very delicious and cheap but some foods are very hot. I had a massage and tried a ch’ima chogori costume on. The costume is very beautiful and colorful. After that, I visited a palace called Syotokukyu. I thought it was a strange structure. It looks like a Japanese temple.

There is any trouble in Korea. In restaurant, I couldn’t speak Korea and order. One of the guests can speak Japanese and helped me. A man told me a popular item on the menu and order me it. I enjoyed talking with him for a while. When I had great difficulty in findng the way to the hotel, a guard arranged for the taxi. They were very kind to me.

As a result, I decided to study Korean hard. Because I thought I want to talk with many people when I go to Korea again. And this travel broadened the mind. The travel had a great effect on me.
