Overweight and obesity in Australia
The number of obese Australian males is increasing gradually. 10% of Australian females were obese in 1995. About 18% of Australian females were obese in 2001 and 2004-05.
Compare 1995 and 2004-05, the number of obese adults is increasing in 2004-05. In 2004-05, 60% of Australian males are overweight or obese and 45 % of Australian females are overweight or obese. 30% of Australian males considered themselves and 40% of Australian females considered themselves overweight. Some people is convinced they aren’t overweight.
